When I get in,nobody can stop me
And while I’m here, nobody can destroy me
Before you rise, I will put you down
And when I get hold of you, I’ll tear you apart
I’ll thrive in your silence, I’ll throw you off your feet,
I’ll grow till I take over every inch of your being
I am depression and I am real

No you’re not, take the front door out my head
I am not some weak girl upon who you can tread
I swear I’ll destroy you even if it is my last
With my weapon,a sword of hope I will fight
At the end the darkness is overcome by the light
Am I right?

If you’re going through tough times, then this is for you. slay those demons like the hero you were born to be.

I believe in you,you should too

From the diary of a confused heart

One more unsent letter
A thousand words left unsaid
Means goodbye in more ways than one
I don’t want to hold on

But why is it so hard to leave
Every night I try to convince myself
That love is for the weak
Every single time I tell myself
I will not fall for tricks
Love hurts when you’re done falling
When you hit the rocks at the bottom of the pit
Everytime I tell myself you’re just another one
A heartbreak waiting to happen
But my heart replies every single time
To give just one last chance

How does it feel Romeo, to love and be loved in return

I am: the two most powerful words, for what you say after them shapes your destiny

-Gary Hensel

I feel,I see and I can be
I love,I hate and I am loved
I am just like you
With faults and pain
And sweat and tears
I live just like you do
And love just like you do
I crawl,then walk and then I run
Because I am of you and you of me
I’m human, born to live then die

The might of a pen.(poem)

Today I’ll be posting one of my own poems. Hope you like it

Isn’t it wonderful what we can do with these little things

Title: The might of a pen

My pen will spill blood and burn civilizations to the ground
My pen will unite a mother with her son,
a father with his daughter
My pen will decide the fate of the innocent,
the life of the living
My pen will take me through
the lives of warriors and back
My pen is a part of me,
a slayer of demons and man

The flowing ink reveals the truth
And tells it as it must
The dancing words destroy the past
And build up what comes next
A story told shapes broken heart
A poem heals what bleeds
And wherever you may be just know
A story lives to be.

Looking for poems to be inspired by??

Today I’ll be sharing the best poems I’ve read so far, hope you love them..

1. The cold within

“The Cold Within” was written in the 1960s by an American poet known as James Patrick Kinney.

Six humans trapped by happenstance
In bleak and bitter cold.
Each one possessed a stick of wood
Or so the story’s told

Their dying fire in need of logs,
But the first man held his back.
For of the faces ’round the fire,
He noticed one was black.

The next man looking ‘cross the way
Saw one not of his church.
And couldn’t bring himself to give
the fire his stick of birch.

The third one sat in tattered clothes;
He gave his coat a hitch,
Why should his log be put to use?
To warm the idle rich?

The rich man just sat back
And thought of the wealth he had in store,
And how to keep what he had earned
From the lazy, shiftless poor.

And the black man’s face bespoke revenge
As the fire passed from his sight.
For all he saw in his stick of wood
Was a chance to spite the white.

The last man of this fallen group did nought,
Except for gain.
Giving only to those who gave,
Was how he played the game.

Their logs held tight in death’s still hands
Was proof of human sin.
They did not die from the cold without,
They died from the cold within.

– James Patrick Kinney

This is actually my favourite, it definitely highlights one of the growing problems in the world right now, don’t you think?

2. The scholar

My days among the dead are past,
Around me I behold,
Where’er these casual eyes are cast,
The mighty minds of old,
My never falling friends are they,
With whom I converse day by day,

With them I take delight in weal,
And seek relief in woe;
And while I understand and feel,
How much to them I owe,
My cheeks have often been bedew’d,
With tears of thoughtful gratitude,

My tears are with the dead, with them,
I live in long past years,
Their virtues love, their faults condemn,
Partake their hopes and fears,
And from their lessons seek and find,
Instructions with an humble mind,

My hopes are with the dead, anon
My place with them will be,
And I with them shall travel on
Through all futurity,
Yet leaving here a name I trust,
They will not perish in the dust.
– Robert Southey

3. Life

Life ,believe,is not a dream
So dark as sages say
Oft a little morning rain
Foretells a pleasant day
Sometimes there are clouds of gloom
Buy those are transient all,
If the shower will make the roses bloom
Then why lament it’s fall

Rapidly, merrily,
Life’s sunny hours flit by
Gratefully, cheerily
Enjoy them as they fly!

What though death at times steps in,
And calls out best away?
What though sorrow seems to win,
O’er hope, a heavy sway?
Yet hope again elastic springs,
Unconquered though she fell;
Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well

Manfully, fearlessly,
The day of trial bear,
For gloriously, victoriously,
Can courage quell despair
– Charlotte Brontë

4. The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves, no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
– Robert Frost

5. Invictus

Out of the night that covers me
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance,
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
– William Ernest Henley

Book recommendations…

Hey guys

Are you searching for your next best read, or you’re bored and just decided to look for something new???

Look no more😜 because in this post I’ll be recommending some awesome books you will not be able to put down

1. The Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard.

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver. The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change. That is until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power. Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime. But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart.

2. Tell me your dreams- Sidney Sheldon

She had read about stalkers, but they belonged in a different, faraway world. She had no idea who it could be, who would want to harm her. She was trying desperately not to panic, but lately her sleep had been filled with nightmares, and she had awakened each morning with a feeling of impending doom.

Thus begins Sidney Sheldon’s chilling new novel, Tell Me Your Dreams. Three beautiful young women are suspected of committing a series of brutal murders. The police make an arrest that leads to one of the most bizarre murder trials of the century. Based on actual events, Sheldon’s novel races from London to Rome to the city of Quebec to San Francisco, with a climax that will leave the reader stunned.

3. A stranger in the mirror- Sidney Sheldon

Toby Temple is a superstar, the world’s funniest man. He gets any woman that he wants, but under the superstar image is a lonely man. Jill Castle is a sensuous starlet. She has a dark and mysterious past and has an ambition even greater than Toby’s. Together they rule Hollywood.

That desription maybe shorter than the rest but seriously you will want know what’s next

4. Bloodline- Sidney Sheldon again 😁

Sheldon’s sweeping saga of greed and betrayal, sabotage and danger, and the ties that can kill…

Roffe and Sons is a family firm, an international empire filled with desperate, cash-hungry family members. At its head was one of the wealthiest men in the world, a man who has just died in a mysterious accident and left his only daughter, Elizabeth, in control of the company. Now as this intelligent, tough, and beautiful young woman dares to save — not sell — Roffe and Sons, she will have to outwit those who secretly want her power, and the unknown assassin who wants her life.

5. Full circle- Danielle Steele

The 1960s. Kennedy. Martin Luther King. Civil rights. Viet Nam. Tana Roberts comes of age in this turbulent decade, and begins a journey that will lead her from New York to the South during the heat of racial unrest. A thoroughly modern young woman, she yearns for a career and is willing to sacrifice everything to get it. And it’s only much later that Tana discovers that she can have it all. Career. Love. And peace of mind. As she comes of age, at last, and comes full circle.

This is all for now, I kinda feel bad for not including Nora Roberts in this because seriously….Nora Roberts. I’ll be doing a part two though.

Feel free to recommend some books in the comments section

To the one I almost thought I loved

Emotions pouring out,no filter
I thought we were clear the last time
Let me go,stay away you just don’t seem to get it
Youre the reason I’m up at 3.a.m writing letters to the demons that live within me
Its your fault Im lost in a tale so dark and endless
I wish I could forgive you though its never been easy
But every night the hatred I’ve been trying to bury digs to the surface
Im all right i tell myself, but my demons and angels know that lie
I wish i could be the same soul that i was before
Brave as any knight and never leaving all the things i love
But ever since you left i dread the coming of the dark
You ask why, i dont keep my mouth shut
I tell you how much that i loved you,but not anymore
Maybe tomorrow ill regret all the alcohol
But why worry now?that’s what the day after is for
This here is a toast, to the one i almost thought i loved
-Burning phoenix

Maybe we’re meant to be maybe we’re not , but if we were then maybe we’ll hold hands again one day.
